About The Client
Our client is a leading medical defence organization. As part of its diversification strategy, our client sought to diversify revenue streams, increase customer intimacy, and mitigate the risk of disintermediation. Our client launched a new ventures division which was tasked with developing and implementing new strategies to support doctors both personally and professionally, not only as medical practitioners, but also as practice owners.
The Challenge
Our client sought to build a product marketplace and professional networking platform for healthcare practices and hospital systems to operate more effectively. Our client had a legacy proof-of-concept solution for it platform which had been very successful in obtaining 400+ clients in just over a year, but it only offered a single product, and it was built with a technology stack which would not allow our client to achieve its longer-term goals of supporting a broad range of products.
The Solution
ViaPoint influenced key decision makers to invest in more scalable cloud-based technologies which would allow the platform to eventually become the product marketplace and professional networking tool that our client wanted it to become. We led our client's requirements specification, vendor evaluation, and solution architecture efforts, which ultimately resulted in the selection of Microsoft's cloud-based Dynamics 365 (Sales, Service) and Azure (AD, AD B2C, SQL Database, App Service, API Manager, etc) platforms as the chosen infrastructure. We then used an Agile approach to design, implement, integrate, and test the full-scope solution, which also included integrations with several internal systems and external services.
The Result
Our client now has a much more scalable solution for its product marketplace and professional networking platform. This will allow our client to decrease the cost and time required to integrate future products with its platform, as a result of the "plug-and-play" model that ViaPoint helped to design and implement.
